Terms of Service

These terms govern your access to and use of K1 Visa Wizard and related services. By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using the platform, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use. We build software to help couples organize self-prepared K-1 fiance(e) visa packets; we are not a law firm, do not provide legal advice, and do not draft or file government forms on your behalf.

Eligibility & Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and activity on your account.
  • Provide accurate, complete information and update it promptly when it changes.
  • You may not share your account with unrelated parties, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or use the service for unlawful purposes.

Service Description

K1 Visa Wizard offers guided questionnaires, document organization tools, and PDF packet generation to help you align your evidence with the USCIS Form I-129F and DS-160 requirements. We do not submit petitions on your behalf, fill out official forms, or guarantee government approval. You remain responsible for reviewing all filings, confirming eligibility requirements, and submitting paperwork to USCIS and the Department of State.

Information provided through the platform, documentation, or support communications is for educational purposes only. It is not legal advice and does not substitute for consultation with a qualified immigration attorney. Using K1 Visa Wizard does not create an attorney-client relationship. If you need legal advice, consult a licensed attorney.

Subscriptions & Payments

  • Fees are disclosed at the time of purchase. Taxes may apply, and you authorize us to charge your payment method for applicable amounts.
  • Subscription benefits remain available while your plan is active. Cancellation stops future charges but does not entitle you to refunds for completed billing periods unless required by law.
  • We may change pricing or plan features with reasonable advance notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

User Content

  • You retain all rights in documents, images, and information you upload. You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to operate and improve the service.
  • You are responsible for ensuring submissions are accurate, lawful, and do not infringe third-party rights. We may remove content that violates these terms.

Acceptable Use

  • Do not upload malicious code, attempt to reverse engineer the service, or interfere with its operation.
  • Do not misrepresent your identity or relationship, harass other users, or share private data without consent.
  • Use the platform only for lawful purposes related to organizing your own K-1 petition.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, misuse the service, or if continued operation becomes impractical. Upon termination, your right to use the platform stops immediately, though certain provisions (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, dispute resolution) survive.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the wizard will be error-free, that government requirements will remain unchanged, or that your petition will be approved. Any reliance on guidance or templates provided is at your own risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, K1 Visa Wizard and its officers, employees, and partners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill resulting from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless K1 Visa Wizard, its affiliates, and personnel from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the service, your content, or your breach of these terms.

Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, excluding its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be resolved through binding arbitration in San Francisco County, California, on an individual basis. You waive the right to participate in class actions or similar proceedings, to the extent permitted by law.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms to reflect product changes or legal requirements. When we make material updates, we will notify you via email or in-app messaging. Your continued use of the service after updates become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
